Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last Updated: [Date]

Thank you for choosing Argyll Lager.

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how we process, dispatch and deliver orders placed through our website. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Order Processing

Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and Scottish public holidays.

Once your order has been accepted and payment has been received, we will prepare it for dispatch as quickly as possible.

You will receive an email confirmation when your order has been dispatched together with tracking information where available.

2. Pre-Orders

Argyll Lager is currently available for pre-order.

Pre-orders allow customers to reserve stock before the official product launch.

Our current estimated dispatch date is:

Mid-August 2026

Please note:

  • Payment is taken at the time the pre-order is placed.
  • Estimated dispatch dates are provided in good faith but may change due to production, packaging or logistics requirements.
  • If the dispatch date changes significantly, we will notify customers using the email address provided at checkout.
  • Customers may cancel a pre-order at any time before it has been dispatched for a full refund.

If an order contains both pre-order and in-stock items, we reserve the right to ship everything together when the pre-order product becomes available unless otherwise stated.

3. Delivery Areas

We currently deliver throughout mainland Great Britain.

Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands and other remote locations may take longer and may be subject to additional delivery charges.

International delivery is not currently available unless specifically agreed.

4. Delivery Times

Following dispatch, estimated delivery times are:

Destination Estimated Delivery
Mainland Scotland 1–3 working days
England & Wales 2–4 working days
Highlands & Islands 2–5 working days

These delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

During busy periods, public holidays or circumstances outside our reasonable control, deliveries may take longer.

5. Age Verification

Argyll Lager is committed to promoting the responsible sale of alcohol.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are aged 18 years or over.

All deliveries must be accepted by a person aged 18 or over.

Our delivery partners may request photographic identification before handing over your order.

Acceptable identification includes:

  • Passport
  • UK Driving Licence
  • PASS Accredited Card

If satisfactory proof of age cannot be provided, delivery will be refused.

6. Failed Deliveries

If delivery cannot be completed because:

  • no eligible person is available;
  • age verification cannot be completed;
  • the delivery address is incorrect; or
  • the parcel is refused,

the order may be returned to us.

Where permitted by law, we reserve the right to deduct any reasonable delivery and return costs from any refund.

7. Shipping Charges

Delivery charges are calculated during checkout and displayed before payment is completed.

From time to time we may offer free delivery promotions. Any qualifying conditions will be clearly stated on our website.

8. Damaged or Missing Deliveries

We take great care in packaging every order.

If your parcel arrives damaged or items are missing, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

fin@argyll-lager.co.uk

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photographs of the parcel and products where possible

We encourage customers to notify us within 48 hours of delivery to assist our investigation with the courier. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If you have not received tracking information within the expected dispatch period, please contact us at:

Occasionally deliveries may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • severe weather;
  • transport disruption;
  • industrial action;

  • courier network issues; or
  • government restrictions.

While we will always do our best to keep customers informed, Argyll Lager cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by such events.
