Returns & Refunds Policy

Last Updated: 17/06/2026

At [Company Name], we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights and our procedures when purchasing beer and other products from our online store.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any other applicable law.

1. Your Right to Cancel

If you purchase products from our website as a consumer, you generally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us of your decision to cancel by email or in writing before the end of the 14-day cancellation period.

Once you have notified us, you have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods (or receiving evidence that they have been returned), using the original method of payment.

Unless the goods are faulty or we have agreed otherwise, you will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

2. Condition of Returned Goods

You may inspect the goods in the same way that you would in a physical shop.

To qualify for a full refund under your cancellation rights, products should be returned in a condition that allows them to be resold. If the value of the goods has been reduced because they have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics or functioning, we may make an appropriate deduction from your refund as permitted by law.

3. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If your order is:

  • damaged during delivery;
  • faulty;
  • contaminated;
  • incomplete; or
  • not as described,

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide your order number together with photographs where available.

Where a product is faulty, damaged or not as described, you are entitled to the remedies available under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which may include a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.

We encourage customers to report delivery damage within 48 hours so that we can investigate with our courier promptly. This request does not limit or affect your statutory rights.

4. Quality Concerns

Beer is a natural product and may vary slightly between batches. If you believe a product is defective or unsuitable for consumption, please contact us with details of the issue, including any batch or best-before information if available.

We may request that the product is returned for inspection before issuing a refund or replacement.

5. Order Cancellations Before Dispatch

Orders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before they have been dispatched.

Once an order has been dispatched, your rights will be governed by the cancellation provisions set out in this policy and applicable consumer legislation.

6. Age Verification and Delivery

Scottish law prohibits the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 18.

All deliveries must be accepted by a person aged 18 years or over. Our delivery partners may request photographic identification to verify age.

If age verification cannot be completed or there is no eligible person available to accept the delivery, the order may be returned to us.

Where a delivery fails due to unsuccessful age verification or incorrect delivery information supplied by the customer, we reserve the right to deduct any reasonable delivery and return costs from any refund where permitted by law.

7. Non-Consumer Sales

If products are purchased for business purposes rather than as a consumer, different rights and remedies may apply in accordance with the terms agreed between the parties and applicable Scottish law.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method.

While refunds are usually processed within a few business days, it may take up to 10 business days (or longer depending on your payment provider) for the funds to appear in your account.
